Terrible Football is a community of people who are united by a love of playing casual football on muddy pitches around the world.

Our games are open to anyone over the age of 18.  They are mixed gender and mixed skill level.

To keep our services free, safe and fun, all of our players need to be responsible and aware of themselves and their fellow players.
We play without referees, expecting our players to be capable of managing any disputes maturely.
Our community is made up of a diverse range of players,  with many different levels of skills and experience.
Our pitches are normally public parks, with limited facilities and often low quality surfaces.

The Terrible Football approach works 99% of the time.

However, there are always exceptions, and it is important to be clear about how we will ensure our players feel supported and safe.
We have a zero tolerance for any forms of:
  • Racism
  • Sexism
  • Homophobia
  • and any other form of discrimination.
Further, we have a zero tolerance for any language or behaviour that we believe is:
  • Abusive
  • Threatening
  • Aggressive
  • Bullying
Organisers can and will ask anyone who has behaved in an unacceptable way to immediately stop playing, and can ban them entirely from the group.  This zero tolerance extends to any other activity associated with Terrible Football, including our Whatsapp Groups and Facebook page.

If you feel like you have experienced any form of discrimination, threatening language or behaviour, or anything else that makes you feel uncomfortable, you can:
  • Tell any of our organisers on the pitch or after a game
  • Message an organiser through Meetup
  • Email us confidentially at captain@terriblefootball.co.uk

Organisers will treat anything you tell us confidentially, and, after consulting you, will take further action if necessary.
You can read our full safeguarding and other policies at the link above.
